Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Jeep Wagoneer- Video
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today we're gonna be taking a look at the Hollywood Rack's Destination two-bike platform rack and how it fits our 2022 Jeep Wagoneer. So the Destination 2 is a really compact, lightweight, and portable bike rack. For an entry level rack, it's actually one of my favorites because it just gets the job done, plus it can fit a variety of bikes whether you're really small kids bikes or your larger step-through bikes even. Now it does have its downsides too like it can't tilt away, plus it has a maximum weight capacity of 35 pounds per bike. But for the Wagoneer, not being able to tilt away is actually not a bad thing because most bikes that do tilt away, don't tilt the away enough for the Wagoneer's large hatch. more

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today I have the Hollywood Racks Destination E two-bike platform rack, and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2022 Jeep Wagoner. So the Destination E is actually pretty impressive. Guess it does have its downsides where it does take a little bit more time to use, and more straps, and levers, and things like that, but honestly, for the Jeep Wagoner, this is one of the only bike racks that can tilt away far enough where you can still open up the hatch. Plus with how high up this is off of the ground, most bike racks make it a little tricky to lift your heavy electric bikes up, but this one has an included ramp. So we'll talk about features like that, and I'll show you how it does make a good fit for the Wagoneer. more

Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Jeep Wagoneer- Video
Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today I have the Kuat NV 2.0 Base and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2022 Jeep Wagoneer. So the Kuat NV Base is a great all around bike rack. It's really popular because you have all the premium features. Yes, it is at a premium price but it also works really well for a lot of bikes. Now when talking about how this fits the Wagoneer though for a great all around bike rack it does have some disadvantages. Like it doesn't tilt down far enough for the Wagoneer's hatch open, but honestly most bike racks don't. more

It does have a couple cool features, but the first thing about this is we don't have to worry about not being able to access our hatch on our Grand Cherokee L. Just gonna pull this lever. Saris MHS 2 Bike Rack Review - 2021 Jeep Gladiator- Video
Hey everyone, Charles here at Etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Saris MHS modular bike rack for two bikes on the 2021 Jeep Gladiator. The front and rear wheel mounts make it great for carrying your carbon frame style bike since it's not gonna have any frame contact. But one of my favorite features is that it does tilt away, like so, giving you access to your bed of your truck. You can see we have plenty of clearance to grab our backpacks and our waters whatever you need for the trail. And I just really like that because carrying heavy bikes on the back of your vehicle, you may not always wanna unload it and load it whenever you have to get back into your bed. So the Yakima OnRamp is a very popular bike rack because it has a ramp included, it's great for electric bikes. Now for how it fits with the Grand Cherokee L, I really like this pairing because the hitch receiver on this vehicle is a bit high up off the ground. Thule Hitching Post Pro Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Jeep Cherokee- Video
Hi everyone. Aiden here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Thule Hitching Post Pro on the back of our 2022 Jeep Cherokee. This is a hanging style bike rack, so the bike's gonna be hanging by our frame up top here. We've got straps running over the top, holding it down in these deep cradles, and a third strap around the seat post to limit our side-to-side movement, helping with our bike to bike contact. Hanging style bike racks are really popular because you can get a lot of bikes up here pretty easily. more

Saris Freedom Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Jeep Cherokee- Video
Hi everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Saris Freedom Platform Bike Rack on our 2022 Jeep Cherokee. Now, like I said, this is a platform style bike rack so it's gonna hold the bike in these wheel cradles and by our frame. So we've got this cradle with a strap run around the frame up top, that's gonna be keeping it held upright and then we've got wheels strapped down in each cradle to help hold it down in the cradles. It results in a really strong hold on the bike. more

RockyMounts GuideRail 2 Bike Rack Review - 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
How's it going, everyone It's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the RockyMounts GuideRail on our 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The GuideRail is a two-bike platform style bike rack, capable of supporting two bikes up to 60 pounds each, held primarily by these dual wheel mounts up either side, which is nice 'cause it avoids any framed contact, so if you we're using a carbon frame bike or an alternative frame style bike, that would be good in this case. One thing I like about this rack is that it does have a pretty aggressive tilt. So as far as any of the racks we tested today, this is the one that tilts the furthest away that I've seen and it gives us plenty of clearance to get into our cargo area in the back of our car, and plenty of room back here in the event that you wanna take a seat after your ride, change your shoes or get something out of the back. So tilting our bike rack back up, you'll hear a click and that's how you know it's in place. more

So this is a hanging rack that is ideal if you want something that's more compact. Doesn't take up much space. Since this has the ability to carry around two bikes, it's very, very short. So that way if you maybe have a smaller garage, you need to back up into a tight spot, you already have a larger SUV so this helps with that. Now, hanging racks do have their downsides as well when it comes to stability as well as ease of getting into the car. more

But that's not to say that it's not gonna work with normal bikes and today it's gonna be on a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. It's no surprise that e-bikes have definitely become more and more popular and as the years kind of go on I can only imagine it's gonna become even bigger. So one of the downsides with e-bikes at least currently now, is they are pretty heavy. So you do need a bike rack that's going to accompany that weight. And this one is actually pretty highly rated at 80 pounds per bike. more

Now this is going to be a great choice if you have two electric bikes that you're wanting to take out on the trail with your Jeep Gladiator and still being able to not have to worry about how heavy electric bikes get. One big thing that I wanna show off right off the bat is how it's able to handle working with heavier bikes and taking them off. Now as you can see, it has a mechanism here that is actually used with your wiring. It is going to be plugging in right into the back of your Jeep Gladiator. Now it is a slow process, but whenever you have heavy bikes, like say up to 60 pounds, you're gonna want that. more

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Kuat Piston Pro four bike rack on our 2021 Jeep Gladiator. Now if you have a Jeep Gladiator, you most likely have a lot of your equipment and a lot of your stuff in the back of your bed. Or you may have a Tonneau cover like this. So it's gonna be a little bit tougher to get your bikes in the back of your bed whenever you're doing things like maybe you're going hiking as well or you need all of your stuff in the back. So this is a great choice. Whenever you have a 40 pound weight capacity and the ability to carry four bikes along with it being able to use the wiring that comes with your Jeep Gladiator, it is going to be a great choice. more

And this rack you can see here is gonna be a two bike platform-style rack which means your wheels will be supported in the cradles for both the driver and passenger side for your front and back wheel. And then it's secured in place on top with our hook here. And this is a pretty quick and easy way to get your bike strapped up. Hey everyone, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over the Yakima StageTwo bike rack here on our 2021 Jeep Gladiator. So this particular rack here is gonna be a two bike rack allowing us to carry up to two bikes. Now, keep in mind, this rack is also available in a four bike version as well. So either you have the two bike and you wanna purchase the add-on to carry up to four bikes or you just purchase the four bike rack outta the gate. Keep in mind, if you purchase the four bike rack outta the gate, you can always take the outermost two trays off to have a two bike. Now, in regards to colors, we're gonna have a nice gray color here, which is what we see installed on our Gladiator today. more

Kuat Piston Pro X 2 Bike Rack Review - 2021 Jeep Gladiator- Video
Hey everyone. How's it going Today we're gonna be going over the Kuat Piston Pro X 2-bike rack here on our 2021 Jeep Gladiator. Now there's a few different types of bike rack options on the market, the two main ones being hanging style and platform style. So this is obviously a platform style. A hanging bike rack, they're still great options, typically a lot more cost-effective than the platform style, but they're much harder to lift your bikes up and on to, and they don't allow you really to carry bikes over 35 pounds. So with the platform-style racks here, all you do is have to lift your bikes up to the wheel trace here. more

Our focus here today is just to talk about how this works with the truck and the features, and it has a lot of cool features, but the feature that impressed me the most is the tilt-away. We have this knob right over here. You're gonna wanna rotate that knob where it's just loose enough to push out and when you push out, let's see, not loose enough there, and when you push this out, it's gonna stay there. So it is currently ready to tilt it away, but when you have your extra heavy electric bikes there, you may wanna, you know, prepare yourself, get yourself ready. more

This is gonna be a great bike rack if you need to get your heavier set bikes or maybe your thicker bikes to and from the trail or the campsite safely and effectively. Now let's take a closer look at some of the specs that make this a great choice for you, especially if you need something to help you get the bike off. Now, this is going to have a 66 pound weight capacity which is going to be great for a large amount of bikes including your electric bikes and your mountain bikes that are on the heavier side. It's also gonna have a 50 inch wheel base. And with that, it's going to be able to handle larger bikes like this, which some 48 inch wheel base sometimes goes over the side or you have a little trouble moving it back and forth. more

Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at Etrailer. And today we'll be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination 4 bike platform rack right here on our 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. So you can carry a lot of people with your Grand Cherokee L, but what if you also wanna carry around a lot of bikes That's where the Hollywood Racks Destination 4 platform rack comes in handy because with the ability to carry around a lot of bikes, it's a great entry level bike rack because you don't have to spend a lot of money that some of those premium racks would have. So we'll talk about those features of this bike rack since we do have some nice parts, like how the mast works and the frame mount works, but we are gonna focus on our Grand Cherokee L here to see how it fits with the vehicle so that you can see what is the better fit for you and your different types of bikes. So, the first thing we'll talk about is that this bike rack does not tilt away like most of those entry level racks. So if you wanted to access your hatch real quick, like open this up, grab your water, you would have to take your bike off. more

Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited- Video
Hi everyone, John here, and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 2-bike rack on our 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. This is going to be a great bike rack if you've got road bikes and mountain bikes that you want to get to the trail and have with a friend, I do recommend though keeping in mind that it has a 40-pound weight capacity, so it will be able to handle road bikes, mountain bikes that fit that, but your heavier fat-tire bikes and electric bikes will not be able to be used. Along with having a 47-inch wheel base, so that gives you a good amount of space. Let's take a closer look and see some of the features that this gives you whenever you're trying to get your bikes to the trail. Now, the first feature I want to show you with the Sherpa is the tilt away. This has one of the best tilt-away systems, in my opinion especially for a one bike. more

Saris MHS Modular 2 Bike Rack Review - 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited- Video
Hey everyone, Charles here at etrailer, and today, we're taking a look at the Saris MHS Modular Bike Rack on a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. This is your platform-style rack that is gonna be held on by both tires, so it's gonna be great for a lot of different size, shapes, and style frames, especially, those carbon fiber frames where a frame mount might warp or damage it. A couple quick things about this rack with this vehicle, we're not gonna be able to utilize the tilt down feature to access our hatch, even if we took the bike off, the spare wheel is still gonna run into that, and we're not gonna be able to fold this up either, because of the spare tire there. But if you wanna continue learning about this bike rack, we are gonna get into that as well as a recommendation towards the end of the video. So this is gonna be made out of steel and aluminum, it's gonna be lighter weight and durable. It's finished with a black powder coat, making it rust resistant. more

Hey everybody, how's it going Today we're gonna be going over the Thule Hitching Post Pro for bike racks here on a 2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. So the Thule Hitching Post Pro is gonna be an excellent bike rack option for you and the family because it allows you to carry up to four bikes. Now there's really two main styles of bike racks on the market and that's platform and hanging. So this is a hanging style rack and what hanging style racks do really well is number one, they're very cost effective, certainly when you compare them to the platform counterpart. And number two, they're much lighter weight than those platform style racks. So they're a lot easier to get on and off the vehicle. more

Hey everyone, Charles here at etrailer. And today we're taking a look at the Kuat NV 2.0 base bike rack for two bikes for two inch hitches on the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. So this rack is great for most of your bikes. It can carry up to 60 pounds per bike, making it great for your heavy bikes and your electric bikes. And since it is a front wheel Mount it makes it great for your carbon frame bikes as it won't warp or damage the frame. So pretty much any bike as long as it doesn't have a fender. more

Thule Hitching Post Pro Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Jeep Wagoneer- Video
Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over the Thule Hitching Post Pro four-bike rack here on our 2022 Jeep Wagoneer. So this is what our bike rack is gonna look like on our Wagoneer here. Now, granted, we only have one bike installed but just sort of looking at the rear view window there, I would say you're gonna have most of your visibility there, looks like the handlebars and the seat posts are gonna stick up a little bit but you still have your side mirrors as well, so you're really not forgoing any safety features. The reverse camera, however, probably not gonna be too operational, but let's face it, that's gonna be the case for any bike rack with bikes we have on the back of this vehicle, you're simply just not gonna be able to use the reverse camera or at least very well. So there's really only two styles of hitch-mounted bike racks, the hanging-style, which is what we have here, and the platform style. Now, each of these do things a little bit better than the other. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Jeep Gladiator- Video
Everyone Charles here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Swagman XC2 on the 2021 Jeep Gladiator. So this is your fixed platform style rack, that's gonna allow you to carry up to two bikes with 35 pounds per bike. It's not gonna be the best for your carbon frame. As you can see, it's gonna be mounted on by the frame, so if you have your carbon frames, it might whoop or damage that. This is your fixed platform style rack, that is gonna allow you to carry two bikes, up to 35 pounds per bike. And this is a great entry level bike rack, especially if you don't ride too often. more

RockyMounts Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Jeep Gladiator- Video
Hey everyone, Charles here at etrailer. And today we're taking a look at the RockyMounts MonoRail solo bike rack on the 2021 Jeep gladiator. This is a great rack to use for almost any type of bike you have that's under 60 pounds, except for maybe those with a fender, but otherwise this is gonna do the job. I love its simplicity and ease of use by highlighting the touch points right here in blue. To tilt it away, I'm simply just gonna support the whole rack here by the frame and pull this lever and tilt it away. And on this Jeep Gladiator, It is gonna touch this part right here. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Jeep Gladiator HLY84FR- Video
Hey everyone, Charles here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Hollywood Rack Sport Rider SE2 for the 2021 Jeep Gladiator. So this is your great heavy duty bike rack that's awesome for your heavy bikes and your electric bikes as it can carry up to 80 pounds per tray. It is made out of a galvanized steel that makes it very durable and finished with a black powder coat, making it rust-resistant. One of the features that I like is the tilt-away feature. And to do that, I'm just gonna remove this pin here and pull on this knob, giving me access to the bed of my truck to grab anything I need. Locks back into place when I lift it up, then I'm just gonna reinsert the pin. more
